With the federal government announcing its plan to move toward electric vehicles last month, OTLF chose this year's theme to be: Electric Vehicle in Canada. Starting this year, OTLF aims to create a research team within YEF compromised of university undergraduate students to research and develop plans to help drive development in Canada. The team would work together in the next few months to research through an interdisciplinary approach of a wide variety of studies, such as Economics, Political Science, Engineering, and Environmental Studies. Throughout the process, the team would also receive professional advice and have the opportunity to attend workshops led by the OTLF mentors and partners, such as former Cabinet Minister Dr. Moridi and former Canadian Ambassador Hon. Dr. John McCallum. The end product will be a journal filled with articles, providing suggestions on the next steps different actors and entities should take to help Canada achieve their goal.
