On Saturday, October 31, 2026, OTLF welcomed Mr. Jean Marc Leclerc, OTLF Advisor and former President and CEO of Honda Canada, for a special session of the Real-World Communication & Leadership Program. Speaking to OTLF students and parents, Mr. Leclerc shared his experience and insights on communication and leadership in the real world, covering practical communication skills, workplace culture and professionalism, and cross-cultural communication — the skills students will need for university, internships and their future careers.

In the session, Mr. Leclerc spoke about the qualities he looked for in young adults: mastering the basics of verbal and written communication, emotional intelligence in every interaction, confidence without arrogance, a demonstrable eagerness to learn, active participation in discussion, continuous self-improvement, and a healthy work-life balance. He encouraged students to turn "uncomfortable conversations" into positive outcomes — opportunities to reveal their professionalism, character and values — and reminded them that mastering these skills is a lifelong journey. OTLF thanks Mr. Leclerc for his time, his mentorship, and an inspiring afternoon for our students.
